So We’re Back… Sorta

…and by sorta I mean we are slowly getting back into the groove. Things are looking up for Stud Muffin and I financially and we were able to spend a little bit of money to beef up the product line.

Over the next few weeks we will have tons of new products, gift sets, and holiday themed items. We are overhauling all of our photography and updating our inventory as well as starting home parties.

Its going to be a bumpy ride getting back in the saddle but we can do it!

Thank you to everyone that’s stuck by Bathe Happy!

100’s of Patterns and Photos Stolen by DIYPatterns.com

Check Out This Scam! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DIYPatterns.com!

Knot Just Yarn Blog

In the world of patterns, DIYPatterns.com has been accused of stealing patterns and photographs from websites such as ETSY and are selling them on their website. This action removes the authors and designers from being compensated for their work and completely benefiting DIYPatterns.com.

Though I have just received notice of this fraudulent act this morning, numerous complaints from many ETSY users have surfaced in The Crochet Crowd Inbox over night. Great people like Lianka Azulay, owner of BonitaPatterns.com has been directly affected as her designs and photographs were stolen. They are selling her patterns putting the money in their own pockets.

In several reports, the website was pulled offline yesterday but resurfaced by a new host today. This company is definitely in this for the cash bypassing any morals to play fair. This is the ugly face of fraud. In one complaint given to me, they are not delivering the…

We’re Still Here!

It was not so graciously brought to my attention by one of my readers that it’s been “FOREVER” since I’ve posted to the blog. So I’m back with an update. While it hasn’t been “FOREVER” it HAS been close to a month since the last post. I apologize for that, quite a bit has been going on that needed to get taken care of.

So here is the low down:

Stud Muffin and I have called off the wedding (including our back up plan to the previous cancellation of the big wedding). We are still getting married but it is going to be a small, private ceremony, officiated by my sister, held at our favorite restaurant during Thanksgiving break. I think there will be a total of 13 people there, possibly 14. It’s not exactly what we want. Honestly it’s not even close to what I want but what I am getting in return makes cancelling worth it (see the next paragraph).

In giving up the wedding plans we’ve decided to have a baby. Either one of our own or if we are unable to conceive we plan to adopt (which is entirely possible given our ages and personal medical issues). We’ve also decided to buy our own home. None of this will happen before Pretty One graduates in 2016 but it is something to plan and save for. By plan I am not joking when I say I am already planning out nursery ideas (remember how much I love stars) and we spend a couple hours a week discussing baby names. My personal favorites at the moment are Dominic Alexander and Katie Mae.

Part of the decision to cancel is because the IRS still owes us over $5,000.00. With the government shut down it is looking like we aren’t going to see it any time soon. Because of the money we are owed Bathe Happy is also in a holding pattern. I can’t start home parties until I have the money to do so and that money is in that $5k we are owed. The same goes for craft shows. We’ve had to cancel next week’s appearance because we can’t afford the booth fees and we haven’t yet been able to pay for the next Girl’s Day Out (coming up in Dec.) either.

Sales are slowly picking up, which has been great, but there haven’t been any sizeable purchases. Hoping to see more coming up in the next several weeks.

Pretty One modeling her Wristers before “Maroon and White Day” during the week-long Homecoming celebrations.

Lots and lots of crocheting going on as the weather cools. I’ve been making wristers (cute fingerless gloves) for the current challenge for The Crochet Crowd. I started a blanket for Pretty One in her school colors. I’ve also been working on donations for the Crochet-arium charity.  I made a freeform mermaid doll that I am super proud of. I’ve also been getting back into cross stitch. It’s something I had a massive interest in when I was younger and now I am getting back into it.

So that’s where we are now. I’m still working through the disappointment with not having the wedding but the smaller ceremony will still be nice. In the coming days and weeks I will lay out the details and will be getting back into daily blogs. Things here have really been rough but hopefully as the year ends it will start looking up.

Thanks for all your support and remember:
